Understanding request forms
Request forms are the questionnaires that customers fill out to describe the project they want completed. The form lets customers clearly express all the details of their project so professionals have the information they need to submit a great quote.
We want to make sure that we're asking customers the right questions, and we have a Category Management team that maintains and updates the request form questions. Each Category Manager focuses on a specific category (like wellness, events, lessons, and home) so they have an understanding of the details that are most relevant for different types of projects. The team gathers and reviews feedback from customers and professionals so we can keep improving our request forms.
Creating request forms for new categories
When the Category Management team creates new categories, they interview customers and pros in that category to find out what is needed in the request forms.
They ask pros questions about their profession, such as:
- What kind of projects do you work on?
- What are the steps involved in completing the project?
- What are the key things you need to know from customers to submit a great quote?
Next, they test the forms with customers and ask them questions, such as:
- Are you able to answer all of these questions for your project?
- What else would you want to tell the pro?
When the team is confident that customers can answer the questions, and that the answers are useful for pros, the form is ready to go live.
Updating existing request for questions
Our Category Management team relies a lot on your feedback to know how well our request forms are working. Throughout the year our team reviews all the feedback that pros and customers like you have submitted. They incorporate as much feedback as possible immediately (and let the Engineering Team get to work on the rest).
We always welcome your feedback about our request forms. Feel free to reach out to our team at contact@starofservice.com with your feedback.
