Waiting to hear back from customers
We encourage customers to respond to every quote they receive, but we don't require them to respond. When a customer receives your quote and your message, they'll see three options for responding to your quote (shown below).
There is a chance that the customer forgot to mark one of these options, but usually customers will only reach out to the professionals who've sent a quote that seems appealing or personal.
If you notice you aren't hearing back from customers, try sending a follow-up message asking the customer if he or she is still interested. This can be a great way to let the customer know that you're still interested in their project while simultaneously discovering where they are in their hiring process.

Waiting to hear back from professionals
After you send a request you shouldn't have to wait long (at most 24 hours) to be introduced to the professionals who are interested in your project.
After you receive your initial quotes, you can choose to contact professionals directly over the phone, or message them on StarOfService. Reach out using the method that works best for you.
Sometimes professionals can be hard to reach immediately. If you have trouble, try contacting the professional several different ways to see which method works best. You can try messaging them on StarOfService, calling them (their number is provided at the top of their quote), or if possible visiting their website to check for another phone number or physical location.
It's normal to be anxious to start a project you're really excited about. Try to be patient as you go through the process of asking additional questions and setting up appointments. Many professionals take some time to respond because they're busy running their business.
