What are credits?
StarOfService supports two billing systems.
This article presents the StarOfService Credits system and outlines the key factors to be considered by our users when purchasing a new package.
The credits system was designed to support a wide variety of services offered via our platform (> 880 industry niches) and to support maximum control and flexibility for our registered users.
Credits enable Professionals registered on our platform to apply to all available and matching jobs posted by our clients.
Sending a quote (offer) to a client’s request costs a number of credits. This number reflects a different amount, according to each type of service provided by our Professionals and the demand for that service, on a given market.
All packages can be acquired via credit card or Paypal via our website.
Additional to our paid plans, our system also supports free credits.
- Paid credits can be purchased by selecting one of our paid plans.
- Available packages: 140 credits, 300, 600 and 1200 credits, adapted to fit any and all requirements of our Pros.
- Paid credits are valid for one (1) year from their purchase date.
- Paid credits are refundable. *For more information on auto-refunds and refunds, please see this article.
Free credits are complimentary credits we offer our Professionals, as a sign of support (New Pros) or appreciation for their business (Top Pros).
Free credits are not associated with a purchase of our paid plans.
Free credits can only be given by our dedicated Customer Support or Sales Departments.
StarOfService reserves the right to select the Pros who qualify to receive free credits, based on their status on our platform (new, top)
Free credits are valid for 30 days from the moment they were granted by our Customer Support Team.
Because their validity is shorter, whenever you have free credits available on your account, they will be prioritized and used before your purchased credits.
Free credits are non-refundable which means that any quote that wasn’t seen by the Client, and to which you applied using free credits, will not be refunded further.
How to buy credits?
To get started with applying for jobs available on our platform, you will need to have a credit balance on your account.
You can buy credits either during the process of sending a quote, by following the on-screen instructions or through your profile, from the credit history page.
From Pro StarOfService dashboard, click on your avatar on the top right corner of your page and click again on “0 credits”. From here, click on the “Buy credits” button and select the most suitable package for your needs and budget.

We find that most of our Professionals start with the 140 or 300 credits, and as their businesses grow, they scale up to the larger packs.
Supported payment methods
Currently you can purchase credits either using a credit card (VISA or MasterCard), a debit card that doesn’t require a PIN, or using PayPal.
PayPal is an electronic wallet and it’s a great alternative for fast and secure online transactions in case you don’t have a credit card. You can find more about it here.
How much does it cost?
How much does it cost to send a quote?
The number of credits required is always listed on the request page from which you send the quote. The pricing is based on the service category and its popularity and demand.
The credits required to apply for a job may also be affected by the number of Professionals who have already sent their offers.
When a request received already 5 offers, the price for any following quote will increase. This is called dynamic quoting and reflects a system that allows interested Professionals to apply to jobs for which the maximum quota of offers (5) was already reached.
